Compare Scope Before Price

How to Compare Turnkey Water Bottling Plant Quotations

Quotation totals are meaningful only when suppliers respond to the same project brief and expose the same equipment, service, site, and acceptance boundaries.

01 Answer first

How do you compare two turnkey quotations fairly?

Put both offers against one checklist covering treatment, bottle supply, filling, labeling, coding, packing, conveyors, utilities, spares, documents, FAT, shipping, installation, commissioning, training, travel and warranty terms. Mark every missing or ambiguous item as a scope gap.

02 Where it fits

Position in the project journey

Quotation review - before commercial negotiation and order.

03 Buyer inputs

What the buyer should prepare

  • One common RFQ and reference format for all bidders
  • Required and optional systems separated
  • Commercial, logistics and local-work expectations
  • Named technical and commercial reviewers

04 Allot Tech and manufacturing-resource inputs

What should be clarified or provided

  • Line-by-line response to the common scope
  • Written deviations, assumptions and exclusions
  • Comparable output, materials and acceptance basis
  • Clarification of warranty, travel, spares and documents

Allot Tech coordinates requirement, quotation and project communication. Detailed engineering, manufacture, testing, documentation and confirmed service are performed by selected manufacturing resources according to the signed scope.

05 Technical scope

Questions and work to control

Normalize the Technical Basis

Check product and package formats, output basis, equipment duty, materials, control scope, utilities, layout assumptions, changeovers, exclusions, and dependencies on buyer-supplied items.

Compare Delivery Risk as Well as Supply

Review engineering ownership, interfaces, document deliverables, test conditions, shipping boundary, site services, commissioning inputs, training, spare parts, and support terms for the specific project.

  • Create one comparison sheet using common categories
  • Mark every unclear item as an open commercial or technical risk
  • Request written clarification before final evaluation

06 Responsibility

Assign the owner before the work is due

Land, building and civil work, permits, import and customs, local taxes, site utilities, unloading, lifting, local labor, travel support and commissioning materials are not automatically included. Confirm every responsibility before order.

07 Common risks

What commonly creates avoidable uncertainty

  • Only the final total is copied into the comparison sheet
  • Blank cells are treated as included
  • Different bottles, packs or output bases remain hidden

08 Acceptance or completion

How to know the stage is complete

Every comparison row is included, excluded, optional, buyer-side or open, and each open gap has a written clarification owner.

09 Required documents

Records that support the decision

  • Common quotation checklist
  • A/B scope comparison
  • Deviation and clarification register
  • Normalized commercial summary

10 Next project step

Put this stage into your project brief

Share the information already available and mark what is still unknown. Allot Tech can use the same brief to coordinate a project-specific discussion with suitable manufacturing resources.

Request Turnkey Project Review

Turnkey scope is project-specific and is defined by the signed technical and commercial agreement.
