Define the Container and Closure Basis

Record the bottle material, nominal volume, drawings or approved samples, neck finish, cap type, geometry, handling features, and whether bottles will be produced in-house or supplied ready-made. Open data should remain explicitly open until it is confirmed.

Connect Labels, Coding, and Secondary Packaging

Identify label type and position, artwork dimensions, date or batch-code location, bundle or carton arrangement, film or carton information, and pallet or manual handling expectation. These choices affect machine type, conveyor control, accumulation, access, and material trials.

Control Changes Across the Complete Line

A bottle revision may affect molds, air demand, rinsing and filling handling, cap application, conveyor guides, labeling, packing, inspection, change parts, and FAT materials. Use a controlled package-data register so every affected system reviews the same revision.

Agree Samples and Evidence for Testing

Confirm who provides preforms, bottles, caps, labels, coding consumables, film or cartons; the quantities and timing are project-specific. The FAT and site-commissioning protocol should state which formats can be tested and which evidence will remain for site verification.

Practical answers before you request a quotation

Do I need final bottle drawings before quotation?

Concept pricing may use a declared reference, but final equipment and change parts require controlled container data, samples and an agreed approval stage.

Does changing the bottle only affect the blower?

No. It may affect air demand, rinsing, filling, capping, conveying, labeling, packing, inspection, change parts and test materials.

Who supplies materials for FAT?

The order-specific FAT protocol should assign the owner, specification, quantity, delivery date and disposition of preforms, bottles, caps, labels, coding and packaging materials.

Can every format be tested before shipment?

That depends on equipment availability, approved materials and the confirmed FAT scope. The protocol should state what is tested at factory and what remains for site verification.

Assign the owner before the work is due

Land, building and civil work, permits, import and customs, local taxes, site utilities, unloading, lifting, local labor, travel support and commissioning materials are not automatically included. Confirm every responsibility before order.
