01 Answer first
What does a small turnkey water bottling plant still need to include?
It still needs a complete path from approved source water to saleable packs, plus utilities, controls, quality, safety, documentation, startup and assigned local responsibilities. Reduce or phase automation deliberately; do not remove the interfaces that make the plant operable.
02 Where it fits
Position in the project journey
First-phase scope definition - before choosing which functions are manual, automated, local or reserved for expansion.
03 Buyer inputs
What the buyer should prepare
- Product, container and pack requirement
- Target output and operating plan
- Factory, utility and destination information
- Decision owners and required schedule
04 Allot Tech and manufacturing-resource inputs
What should be clarified or provided
- Clarified configuration and interface questions
- Project-specific technical and commercial boundary
- Required drawings, records and acceptance inputs
Allot Tech coordinates requirement, quotation and project communication. Detailed engineering, manufacture, testing, documentation and confirmed service are performed by selected manufacturing resources according to the signed scope.
05 Technical scope
Questions and work to control
Define the Saleable Product Before the Machine List
Start with source water, finished-water category, bottle and closure, label, code, secondary pack, expected demand pattern, shifts, distribution route, and required local approvals. This prevents a low initial equipment price from becoming an incomplete plant.
Allocate Automation Where the Process Needs Control
Compare manual, semi-automatic, and automatic work at container supply, rinsing, filling, closing, labeling, packing, pallet handling, cleaning, inspection, and material replenishment. Evaluate operator exposure, hygiene, repeatability, fatigue, staffing, space, maintenance, and future connection points—not automation as a status symbol.
- Functions included in the first production phase
- Local or manual tasks with named owners and procedures
- Space, utilities, controls, and transfer points reserved for later phases
Do Not Remove the Engineering Boundary
A compact plant still needs treatment sized from water evidence, compatible equipment duties, safe access, drainage, utilities, storage, quality control, documents, FAT planning, installation, commissioning, training, and handover criteria. Smaller does not mean these interfaces disappear.
Approve a Phase Plan With Upgrade Gates
Record the first-phase equipment, optional systems, future provisions, trigger for expansion, expected shutdown or rework, responsibility, and acceptance evidence. The signed technical and commercial agreement defines the final turnkey boundary project by project.
Buyer questions answered
Practical answers before you request a quotation
Can a small plant skip water treatment or packing?
Only if the buyer has a confirmed alternative boundary. Every required production function must be included, buyer-side or provided by a qualified third party.
How should a small plant prepare for growth?
Reserve only justified space, utilities, controls and transfer points, and record the work and shutdown that a future phase would still require.
Is manual handling always acceptable at low output?
No. Review hygiene, safety, fatigue, quality, staffing and material flow for each manual task under local requirements and the real operating plan.
06 Responsibility
Assign the owner before the work is due
Land, building and civil work, permits, import and customs, local taxes, site utilities, unloading, lifting, local labor, travel support and commissioning materials are not automatically included. Confirm every responsibility before order.
07 Common risks
What commonly creates avoidable uncertainty
- Open assumptions are treated as agreed facts
- Interfaces or exclusions remain invisible
- Completion evidence is discussed too late
08 Acceptance or completion
How to know the stage is complete
Completion is based on the criteria and evidence defined for the project, not on a generic website statement.
09 Required documents
Records that support the decision
- Confirmed requirement or specification
- Scope and responsibility record
- Relevant drawings and review register
- Acceptance or completion record
10 Next project step
Put this stage into your project brief
Share the information already available and mark what is still unknown. Allot Tech can use the same brief to coordinate a project-specific discussion with suitable manufacturing resources.
