Blower Air, Cooling and Site Readiness

PET Bottle Blowing Air Quality and Utility Plan

Plan PET bottle blowing utilities as a complete production system: high-pressure blowing air, service air, air treatment, storage, cooling, electrical supply, ventilation, condensate and safe maintenance access. Compressor motor power alone is not a utility design.

01 Answer first

What utilities are required for a PET bottle blowing machine?

The selected blower needs project-specific high-pressure air, lower-pressure service air where applicable, defined air quality, receivers and distribution, cooling at stated conditions, stable electrical supply, heat removal, condensate management and safe access. Size the system from the actual blower duty and operating profile, not a generic capacity label.

03 Buyer inputs

What the buyer should prepare

  • Site ambient range, altitude, power characteristics and operating schedule
  • Existing compressor, receiver, dryer, cooling and distribution information
  • Local rules for pressure equipment, ventilation, noise, drains and electrical work
  • Expansion, redundancy, maintenance and energy-monitoring priorities

04 Allot Tech and manufacturing-resource inputs

What should be clarified or provided

  • Minimum, normal and peak air demand at stated pressure and bottle duty
  • Required air quality, temperature, dew-point or contamination limits as applicable
  • Cooling-water or chiller load, power, heat rejection and connection conditions
  • Recommended receivers, treatment, distribution, instrumentation and acceptance checks

05 Technical scope

Questions and work to control

Separate Blow Air From General Service Air

List each pressure level and consumer independently. State flow at the agreed reference condition, minimum connection pressure, allowable variation and operating coincidence so service-air events do not silently reduce bottle production.

  • High-pressure blowing-air consumer
  • Lower-pressure actuators and services
  • Peak, normal and standby operating cases
  • Receiver and pressure-drop basis

Define Air Treatment at the Point of Use

Compressor type alone does not define delivered air quality. The responsible parties should agree filtration, drying, condensate handling, materials and monitoring appropriate to the proposed equipment and local requirements, then verify conditions at the blower connection.

  • Required contamination and moisture limits
  • Filter and dryer duty and bypass controls
  • Condensate collection and disposal owner
  • Sampling or monitoring point and test method

Integrate Cooling, Heat Rejection and Safe Access

The blower, compressor and dryer can impose heat and cooling loads that depend on ambient and duty. Coordinate chiller or cooling-water conditions, ventilation, equipment clearances, pressure-system service space and safe isolation before the utility room is frozen.

  • Cooling supply and return conditions
  • Ambient derating and heat-rejection path
  • Electrical isolation and service clearance
  • Local pressure-equipment and guarding review

Buyer questions answered

Practical answers before you request a quotation

Can compressor horsepower alone size the blowing-air system?

No. Use point-of-use pressure, normal and peak flow, air quality, ambient, pressure loss and operating profile.

Why are receivers included in the review?

They can help manage demand variation, but volume, pressure and controls must be engineered for the actual system and local rules.

Is one dryer specification suitable for every site?

No. Inlet conditions, ambient, required delivered air quality, flow and pressure must be confirmed.

What should be tested before blower startup?

Verify electrical, pressure, flow, air quality, cooling, drains, alarms, isolation and safe access under a written site plan.

06 Responsibility

Assign the owner before the work is due

Land, building and civil work, permits, import and customs, local taxes, site utilities, unloading, lifting, local labor, travel support and commissioning materials are not automatically included. Confirm every responsibility before order.

07 Common risks

What commonly creates avoidable uncertainty

  • Average compressor capacity is used although peak demand and pressure drop control the blower
  • Air quality or condensate damages valves, molds or bottle quality
  • Chiller performance is quoted without the project ambient and supply-temperature basis
  • A utility room is laid out without safe service, ventilation or pressure-equipment review

08 Acceptance or completion

How to know the stage is complete

Utilities are ready when verified point-of-use pressure, flow, quality, temperature and electrical conditions cover the agreed operating duty, instruments and test methods are named, pressure loss and peaks are considered, and local safety acceptance is assigned.

09 Required documents

Records that support the decision

  • Blower point-of-use utility data sheet
  • Compressed-air treatment and distribution diagram
  • Cooling, electrical and heat-rejection schedule
  • Utility commissioning and acceptance report
