01 Answer first
What utility information should a water bottling plant buyer give suppliers?
For each utility, state what is available, where it terminates, its quality and operating range, peak and simultaneous cases, distribution owner, evidence source, and readiness date. Ask the supplier to state required conditions, loads, peaks, terminals, monitoring, and exclusions for the selected equipment.
02 Where it fits
Position in the project journey
Site-interface definition - before equipment rating, utility distribution design, layout freeze, installation, or commissioning.
03 Buyer inputs
What the buyer should prepare
- Measured or documented available supply conditions
- Building distribution, connection, isolation, drainage, and access boundary
- Local designer, contractor, authority, and utility-provider owners
- Readiness date, temporary-service plan, and evidence revision
04 Allot Tech and manufacturing-resource inputs
What should be clarified or provided
- Average, peak, startup, sanitation, and simultaneous demand cases
- Required quality, pressure, temperature, stability, and point of connection
- Terminal size, location, isolation, instrument, drain, and control interface
- Commissioning conditions, exclusions, tolerances, and validation evidence
Allot Tech coordinates requirement, quotation and project communication. Detailed engineering, manufacture, testing, documentation and confirmed service are performed by selected manufacturing resources according to the signed scope.
05 Technical scope
Questions and work to control
Separate Available Supply From Equipment Demand
The buyer records verified site conditions. The supplier records requirements for the selected equipment. The project team then reconciles quality, capacity, peaks, connections, and distribution losses without hiding the difference.
- Do not paste equipment demand into the available-supply field
- Identify measurement date and operating condition
- Keep preliminary and approved values visibly different
Define Point of Use and Local Distribution
A total plant value cannot size the local cable, pipe, receiver, drain, chiller loop, transformer, or ventilation route. Record each point, terminal condition, distance, route, isolation, and party responsible for the final connection.
- Coordinate terminals with the approved layout
- Check access for operation and maintenance
- Include temporary services needed before permanent systems are released
Review Normal, Peak, Startup, Cleaning, and Failure Cases
Blowing, filling, packing, sanitation, tank filling, compressor loading, and equipment restart may create different simultaneous demands. Define the cases that matter before accepting one aggregate number.
- Record diversity and simultaneity assumptions
- Define low-pressure, low-flow, or power-loss response
- Link utility failure to product-status decisions
Copyable interface builder
Build the buyer utility input sheet
For each utility, enter only verified site information. Leave missing conditions blank so the generated sheet keeps them open.
01Electrical supply
02Raw-water supply
03Service and cleaning water
04High-pressure compressed air
05Low-pressure / instrument air
06Cooling or chilled-water service
07Drainage and wastewater route
08Ventilation and room conditions
09Controls, network, and remote-access boundary
10Temporary commissioning services
This builder does not size transformers, compressors, chillers, pipes, cables, drains, ventilation, or protection. Qualified project-specific design and local compliance review remain required.
Buyer questions answered
Practical answers before you request a quotation
Can the utility sheet calculate transformer, compressor, or chiller size?
No. It organizes information and questions. Qualified project-specific design is required for generation, distribution, protection, safety, and code compliance.
Should utility requirements come from the filler only?
No. Include the confirmed treatment, blowing or bottle handling, conveyors, labeling, coding, packing, controls, cleaning, and auxiliary systems.
Why keep unknown fields instead of entering zero?
Zero can be misread as no requirement. An explicit open field keeps the dependency visible and assigns the next action.
06 Responsibility
Assign the owner before the work is due
Land, building and civil work, permits, import and customs, local taxes, site utilities, unloading, lifting, local labor, travel support and commissioning materials are not automatically included. Confirm every responsibility before order.
07 Common risks
What commonly creates avoidable uncertainty
- Rated totals hide short peaks or startup conditions
- One compressor or chiller total mixes incompatible quality classes
- Utility terminals are released before the equipment layout
- Unknown buyer distribution losses are entered as zero
08 Acceptance or completion
How to know the stage is complete
Every utility row identifies available supply, equipment demand, distribution responsibility, open questions, source revision, and readiness evidence.
09 Required documents
Records that support the decision
- Buyer utility input sheet
- Supplier point-of-use utility schedule
- Connection and responsibility matrix
- Utility readiness and test record
10 Next project step
Turn this decision into a reviewable project brief
Share the product, container, target output, destination and available site information. Unknown inputs can remain open for the first review.
Turnkey scope is project-specific and is defined by the signed technical and commercial agreement.
